From handwritten notebooks to an ERP with tax invoicing
Simone Control is the first client and CRATON's founding story. It started with a thrift store that controlled everything in notebooks and became a desktop ERP that issues real tax invoices. Full usage authorization from the start.

A phone call in 2023
It all started with a phone call. Simone had a thrift store inside her home and did everything by hand: tracking items, registering clients, consignment commissions, monthly bills. Any lookup took the entire weekend.
That meeting defined the purpose that became the heart of CRATON: no one should lose so much time on something technology can solve.
Three stages, the same foundation
The business grew in three acts, and the software was the stable foundation of each one.
- Act 1
At the owner's home
The thrift store operated inside her home and controlled everything by hand, in notebooks. Any survey took Simone the entire weekend.
- Act 2
In its own commercial space
The business grew and moved from home to its own shop. The system was rebuilt from scratch to keep up with the larger operation.
- Act 3
In the city center
The shop moved from MEI to ME status and relocated to a larger spot downtown. The system gained a tax module and started issuing real invoices.
Four generations in three years
Each version reflected both the business's new needs and the technical maturity behind the system.

- Product and inventory control
- Basic sales recording

Oct 2025 to Mar 2026Formalizing the business required issuing tax invoices. The system became a native desktop application and gained the full tax domain.

- NF-e and NFC-e issuance integrated with SEFAZ
- Printing on a thermal printer

Jul 2026A foundation re-engineering by technical initiative: the three repositories became a monorepo and the API was rewritten in native Rust, with updates arriving remotely.
- NX monorepo unifying app, API and database
- 63 endpoints rewritten in native Rust
- Private auto-updater: updates without an on-site visit

From 100% manual processes to a tax-ready ERP
The first result wasn't technical: it was Simone getting her weekends back, free from the notebooks and the counts done by hand. Since then, the business has gone from a one-person operation run out of her home to a standout shop in the city center, and the software has been the steady foundation under every stage of that growth.
Today Simone Control runs in production with an active tax module, sustained by a recurring monthly fee that covers the invoicing infrastructure. It's the complexity benchmark we use to price new systems.
